CONNECTING CHRIST TO THE PENINSULA AND BEYOND
Ben Caldwell grew up in Pensacola, Florida, where he attended First Baptist Church. There, Ben accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and first felt called to the ministry. He attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion.
Ben went on to get a Master of Divinity Degree from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham and a Doctorate of Ministry from the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond. His doctoral studies included a thesis on the health of small groups within the church.
In Birmingham, Ben served churches as minister to youth and children, as well as associate pastor of youth and education. Ben was called as senior pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in New Kent, Virginia, in 2004. With God’s grace, he led the church to numeric and spiritual growth. His greatest passions are discipleship and growth of believers to understand how to live biblically.
Ben has been married to Leslie for 26 years. They have four young adult children: Olivia, Vika [VEE-kah], Adam, and Eric. Leslie works for the International Mission Board as managing editor of communications.
Together, Ben and Leslie have raised their family to seek the Lord and are fully committed to staying in the center of God’s will as He guides their future.

Everybody is welcome here whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. We’re all about doing life together in community, being intentional about our growth as people and serving one another and our broader community along the way.
We want to invite you to one of our Sunday Gatherings to experience our community of Jesus-followers authentically engaging with the God we love!
